A log of the blogs, articles, sites I’ve read, with some thoughts attached.
- https://thebullshitmachines.com/ this is great, lesson 16 particularly so.
- genuinely excited for the breakthroughs in quantum: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/oxford-teleportation-quantum-computing-supercomputer-b2695137.html I had a mess about with qiskit in 2023 to try and predict the lottery 🤣 https://github.com/Qiskit/qiskit - when it was all said and done i ended up with an accuracy around 1 in 40 million. Thereby proving, empirically, the nature of probability.
- https://guidohenkel.com/2018/09/the-things-we-did-on-the-atari-st/ My early days gaming and coding went something like Spectrum ZX, Master System, Mega Drive, NES, SNES, Commodore 64, Amstrad, BBC Micro, Atari ST, Windows 3.5, Windows 95, Windows 98… I absolutely can’t wait to get to grips with writing assembly for the Atari 7800 - the ST holds a dear place in my heart though as it was the first ‘computer’ i owned, in fact I asked for one for my 7th or 8th birthday. Point and click adventures were the order of the day, Hook being a firm favourite if I recall.
